He returns to train new recruits for the Marines and falls for a girl named Peggy. When training and marriage leave him with an empty feeling, he decides on a transfer back to the front lines. Soon he will find that marriage and life will change his outlook on the grueling battles that lie ahead.

This contemporaneous Chinese film focuses upon one family's fate amidst the atrocity.

Koji, who had a lonely childhood as an orphan, is picked up by yakuza gang leader Fujimura and leads a violent life without opening his heart to anyone. Koji, fed up with a life that leaves him with nothing but emptiness, decides to break away from the gang with his friends. Fujimura gives them one last job.
